Pilates at Weitz Sports Chiropractic

Pilates is an exercise system created by Joseph Pilates during the late 1920’s. It has since evolved into a fitness and rehab program with over 500 exercises performed on equipment designed to focus on stabilizing and strengthening the core muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall balance.

The Pilates program at Weitz Sports Chiropractic and Nutrition, offers individualized exercise programs for people desiring a higher level of fitness, as well as therapeutic Pilates programs for injuries ranging from minor to more serious conditions. With years of experience as teachers of Pilates, dance, and fitness; our instructors will introduce you to the Pilates system and determine your past and current injuries. A plan is then designed with a careful selection and modification of exercises suited for your unique needs.

Our Quality Instructors

Trine Jensen

Trine teaches movement based on Joseph Pilates and F.M. Alexander’s work with a focus on rehabilitation and establishing new movement patterns.

Trine has been a mover all her life, unable to sit still to the point that the doctor was called. Luckily, the doctor concluded there was nothing wrong with the active, bright, and restless five-year-old, who just needed physical and mental stimulation! From then on, she tried everything from acrobatics, jazz dance, rhythmic gymnastics and finally landed on modern dance, which even provided a livelihood for a time.

Later, Trine studied acting with a focus on physical theater and directing. Throughout her life, she has earned certifications and acquired teaching experience in a long list of modalities. That list includes Reiki, Shiatsu, Myofascial Release, Pilates, Gyrotonic, Gyrokinesis, Commedia dell’arte, Masks, and Improvisation. She is currently studying to become a teacher of the Alexander Technique.
